Qoo10 Singapore has partnered with DBS Bank to offer its credit cardmembers the option of interest-free instalment payment when they shop at the e-commerce portal (http://www.qoo10.sg/). DBS credit cardmembers will be able to pay for purchases across Qoo10’s seven product categories with a 6-month instalment payment plan at checkout, with a minimum of $200 spent in a single transaction. This is in addition to the existing UOB instalment plan, which allows UOB credit cardmembers to pay for purchases above $200 with an instalment payment plan of 3, 6, 12 or 24 months at checkout.
“With these two interest-free instalment plans, Qoo10 users can enjoy shopping without having to worry about paying immediately for their purchases. This will give them a bit more flexibility when it comes to buying big-ticket items like electronics.”, said Senior Public Relations Executive of Qoo10 Singapore, Mr James Lin.

Purchasing by instalments does it means you get the item first or have to pay fully and then you get the item?

I haven’t tried any installment plan before. Is it right that my credit card account need to have sufficient credit to purchase so that they can block the credit and slowly pay off? Eh credit limit 2k but item is 2.5k
